Est. 1994
Bermuda's oldest yoga centre, celebrating over 3 decades of timeless yoga teachings, practice, and community.
Our story
Located at 7 Victoria Street in the heart of Hamilton, the Yoga Centre Bermuda has quietly grown into the island's most trusted institution for traditional yoga practice. Founded in 1994 by Joanne Wohlmuth and Frances Marshall (co-founders) — it is Bermuda's first yoga centre.
Our lineage honours practices that have guided seekers for thousands of years: asana, pranayama, meditation, and the exploration of yoga as a spiritual discipline. Our mission is to share the full spectrum of the benefits of yoga, beyond merely the physical, with every individual.
We continue to evolve and have survived decades of radical changes: in the world, on the island, and within these walls. Still we remain firmly rooted, offering the same reliable teachings year-after-year – because the Yoga Centre is a community, not just a studio.

In-Person Workshop
This experiential workshop will give you the foundation you need to begin work with intermediate and advanced pranayama techniques. It begins with a short asana practice to open and move the body while developing a connection to the breath. Participants will then work to establish themselves in abdominal diaphragmatic breathing, the foundation of all pranayama. Building on this foundation, the last of this 3-part breath track is working with a basic nostril technique to balance the energy currents (nadis) moving throughout our bodies — ideal after asana class and before meditation.
